Job description:

General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)

To work closely with JD Edwards Super Users, Business Stakeholders and within the JD Edwards team to develop and implement new and updated business aligned solutions, with specific focus on the development of integrations and interfaces between JD Edwards and other critical systems. The role requires the ability to understand and analyze user requirements, technical and functional requirements of external systems and propose and implement practical and business aligned JD Edwards solutions and integrations to these requirements.

Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience


  • Desirable – a formal qualification in Engineering, Finance, Administration or related field.
  • Mandatory – Oracle certified, and/or proven experience in developing integrations between JD Edwards and external business systems;
  • Mandatory – Oracle certified specialist in at least one JD Edwards area, preferably Finance, Distribution and/or Maintenance;
  • Mandatory – High degree of competency in using of utility packages like Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).


  • Specialist level knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.0 or higher;
  • Specialist level knowledge of the Distribution (Procurement, Inventory Management), Manufacturing and/or Capital Assert Management modules in JD Edwards;
  • Specialist knowledge of JD Edwards Orchestrator, JD Edwards Development tools and other integrations technologies;
  • A passion and focus for providing JD Edwards solutions to business problems;
  • Customer, Solution and Improvement oriented;
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, users and JD Edwards team members;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-language environment;
  • Proven ability to implement procedures and handle different types of users;
  • Analytical and methodical thinking and execution;
  • Customer and Solution oriented.


  • More than 10 years as a functional Lead on JD Edwards implementation and/or Upgrade projects;
  • More than 5 years as a Technical or Integration lead on JD Edwards implementation and/or Upgrade projects;
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Integration Architect on JD Edwards systems;
  • Proven experience in Project Management;
  • Proven experience in the Mining, Manufacturing and Logistics industries.


  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables 

  • Perform as a member of JD Edwards Solution Development team in coordination with JD Edwards Solutions Development Coordinator;
  • Collaborate with the JD Edwards Support team in providing JD Edwards training to end users, specialist collaboration with JD Edwards Super Users, providing knowledge transfer and skills transfer and complying with internal governance processes;
  • Lead the testing of new releases of JD Edwards integrations and functionality prior to use in a production environment;
  • Create documentation and procedures guidelines for JD Edwards users based on departmental standards.
  • Thoroughly understand business practices and procedures in order to design, develop and maintain automated workflow processes.
  • Participate in Business Analysis activities with knowledgeable persons throughout the organization to help define user needs and develop system solutions and integrations.

Operational Requirements

Cobre Panama is a remote site. For Foreign Nationals, the position is offered as Residential or FIFO with a strong preference for the incumbent to be residential. For Panamanian citizens, the position is offered as a combination of on site and remote.

  • Comply with the commitments contained in the Environmental Impact Studies and other additional studies in this regard, which apply to your area and activities.
