Job description:
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Community Development, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
Experience in supplier development, procurement support, supply chain, business development, or stakeholder engagement roles.
Exposure to large-scale industrial, mining, infrastructure, or remote-site operations is highly desirable.
Experience working with local suppliers and multicultural stakeholder environments.
Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of procurement processes and supplier lifecycle management.
Knowledge of local business environments and supplier markets.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to analyze information, track performance, and prepare structured reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong written and spoken English; Spanish proficiency required.

Supplier Engagement & Relationship Management
Support the implementation of supplier engagement strategies for local and priority suppliers aligned with Procurement and Commercial objectives.
Act as a primary point of contact for supplier engagement matters, ensuring clear communication and alignment between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Facilitate structured interactions with suppliers, including meetings, briefings, supplier forums, and engagement reviews.
Promote Minera Panama as a “customer of choice” by fostering transparent, professional, and performance-driven supplier relationships.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Serve as a bridge between suppliers, procurement teams, and key community stakeholders.
Work closely with procurement officers and community relations teams to align business opportunities.
Supplier Development & Local Content
Identify opportunities to develop local suppliers’ capabilities to participate competitively in Minera Panama’s procurement processes.
Support suppliers in understanding and meeting corporate, technical, safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
Assist in the delivery of supplier development initiatives linked to ESIA and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) commitments.
Coordinate closely with Community Relations and other internal teams to align supplier development initiatives with socioeconomic objectives.
Capacity Building & Training
Coordinate and support training programs for suppliers focused on:
Procurement processes and bidding requirements
Contractual obligations and compliance
Safety, quality, and operational expectations
Basic commercial and financial literacy (as applicable)
Basic commercial and financial literacy (as applicable)
Implementation of Supplier Engagement Programs
Execute local supplier development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements to ensure maximum supplier participation.
Implement and ensure compliance with the commitments for the supply chain defined in the Environmental Management Plan
Supplier Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier engagement records and databases.
Support the tracking of supplier participation, engagement activities, and development progress.
Assist in monitoring supplier performance indicators linked to engagement initiatives, including participation rates, compliance readiness, and development milestones.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards highlighting progress, risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Procurement, Contracts, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, ESG, and Community Relations teams to ensure supplier engagement activities are aligned with site and business priorities.
Support Procurement teams during sourcing and contracting activities where supplier engagement or development actions are required.
Facilitate effective communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues and align expectations.
Governance, Compliance & ESG Alignment
Support compliance with Procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements.

Environmental Impact Studies (ESIA)
Environmental Management Plan (EMP)
Local regulatory and compliance requirements
Promote responsible, ethical, and sustainable supplier practices in line with Minera Panama standards.
